Mrs. Gregory
Mrs. Gregory loves gardening, especially nurturing and growing roses. Ask her about the many types of roses - she is a wealth of knowledge! When Mrs. Gregory isn't in her garden, she is a "word nerd" and plays Scrabble or reads a great book. Mrs. Gregory has also published a book, and shares her writing skills and talents with the grade five students during writing mini-lessons and writing conferences. Even though she has taught for almost 30 years, Mrs. Gregory is still excited about learning and helping students stay curious about our world.
Mrs. Hodges-Payne (Mrs. HP)
Mrs. Hodges-Payne is passionate about words! She loves Words Their Way and helping students improve their spelling by having them work at their level. She works with all students in grade five.
A goal of Mrs. HP's is to increase the use of technology. A recent Google conference introduced her to google forms, and google sites which she hopes to use with the students in their Humanities Study (combining Language Arts and Social Studies).
She loves to travel, and is enthusiastic about learning about our wonderful country of Canada. She has visited all of the provinces (Mr. Payne is originally from Newfoundland and Labrador and they have driven across the country with Punky, their Bichon-Shih-Tsu). A personal goal would be to visit all three territories.
When she is not in the purple room, she can be found in the office where she helps Mr. Kupsch as vice-principal.

Mrs. Martin
Mrs. Wolsey grew up in Nova Scotia. She has a deep fondness for the ocean and rainy days. She loves music and to sew in her spare time. Most of all, she loves books. While living in Quebec City, she read a book that inspired her to make a move to the "Wild West". Falling in love with the Rocky Mountains and her husband, Mr. Wolsey, she decided to stay. They now have two wonderful children. Mrs. Wolsey loves grade five and encourages everyone to pick up a book. Dr. Seuss said it best, "Oh, the places you'll go..." Literally, in Mrs. Wolsey's case.
